This is my favourite lace skirt from H&M, I love wearing it with a breton, denim shirt or grey sweater as I think it looks better dressed down, somehow it makes it look more expensive.
Here is some more inspiration from Pinterest:
Wear your lace skirt with a grey jumper |
Lace looks great with a chunky jumper |
Such a luxurious look with muted khaki silk blouse and tan clutch. |
Laura Fantacci of WIT blog wears hers with a J Crew grey sweater. |
Add a grey tee for an easy and classic look |
Love the structured crop top with the lace skirt. |
White tee, denim shirt and a lace skirt an easy and stunning combination. |
The key is to dress down your top half to balance out the intricate detail of the skirt. If possible wear with a small heel as this is always more flattering on your legs, but if it is hot then I think a gold pair of strappy flat sandals would look just as good. Add some fine gold jewellery and keep accessories simple, a pop of colour looks great, you can add a block colour handbag/clutch in orange or red.

DeleteJust trying to remember which shop I was in after Christmas and saw a lace skirt reduced drastically. Trouble is the weather was cold and very wet and I wasn't in the mood for a cream lace skirt at the time. Darn it! I really love lace especially when it's toughened up with denim or leather. Lovely outfits Frances x
ReplyDeleteAnnoying when that happens you see the perfect one at the wrong time! Xx
DeleteLove lace skirts, I have 3 including the green WIT one - I make take my navy mini one from J Crew on holiday with a grey tee and silver flats. Gorgeous picks here - I love the warehouse one. Loving your style pics as usual. X

ReplyDeleteThanks Helen, you will look fantastic in a lace skirt xx
DeleteLove the way you've paired yours with some stripes and the fab H&M sandals/shoes. I don't know what to call them! I don't get out enough but if I did - I'd certainly invest and wear as you've directed, a little more dressed down on the top to let the skirt do all the talking.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue and thanks for inspiring me to do a post on this xxxx
DeleteYou do casual so well Frances, you look gorgeous in all your outfits. I have a black lace skirt someone, I don't think I ever sold it but if I find it I know it won't fit any more grrrrr
ReplyDeleteI think the skirts are so great & love them with a simple grey tee! Those Primark shoes are so cute! You look great as always Frances! Ax
