Interior Inspiration..

Style Theory: I was delighted to be invited to the Laura Ashley AW15 Press Day to showcase their home furnishing and accessories and fashion for next season. The interiors were a mix of stunning florals juxtaposed with tartans, rooms full of pinks and silvers, china blues and rust and gold tones, oversized lamps caught my eye along with beautiful rugs and stunning muted wallpapers. The fashion was filled with boho classics and touches of embellishment and luxurious faux fur...

Here are some photos of the beautiful interiors and home furnishings to let you have a look into what they have in store next season..

The Silver Serenity Range

Subtle, soft touches of pinks against silvers and the palest duck egg blues make for a beautiful, homely, calming interior. The oversize silver lamps with pale, sky blue shades and the beautiful Beatrice print armchair were the stand out pieces. This range is serene and so very pretty, it would be equally as pretty gracing the sitting room of a country cottage as that of a townhouse.

China Blue Range

Make an interior statement with the China Blue range, intricate blue and white oriental inspired prints stand gracefully next to dark furnishings.  This range is beautifully elegant and classic with a dose of drama, add hints of this look to a cream sitting room with the beautiful blue and cream bird print cushions,  large chinoiserie bird vases and bowls.

Bronze Luxe Range

The Bronze Luxe range, the most edgy both boho and modern, mixes sumptuous burnt orange velvets with golds and browns brocades, the look you expect to see in a cool East End private members bar. The star of the show for me (along with the stunning ceiling lights and beautiful embossed cushions) was the oversized pineapple lamp, bigger and better than last year...gold and deliciously extravagant. This range is luxurious in a laid back way.

Bramble and Briar Rose Range

Bramble and Briar Rose a delicious mix of mint green, damson and creams, heritage checks and distressed furniture ensure this range will make your house feel inviting and cosy. The fabulous new Cooks Range will inspire and delight and make you look like the most experienced cook, even if, like me, you are not... tomato shaped serving dishes and marble pestle and mortars means your kitchen will be perfectly accessorised.

My Style:
This is what I wore for the Press Day and a couple of meetings I had in town that day. I went for the safety of all black with my comfy flat mules for running from one side of London to the other...
Top: Cos
Culottes: M&S
Shoes: H&M
Bag: Spain

I left the press day full of fabulous ideas to refresh my house and knowing that when the Pineapple lamp is available I will have to have it in pride of place in my sitting room, it will make me smile. What interior looks are your favourite, are you a Laura Ashley fan? As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Frances xxxxx

  1. Would have loved to have gone to the Press Day - wish I lived 150 miles closer to London. LA have really upped their game over the last couple of years. Think I need to take a closer look at the chair next to the wood burner. Gorgeous x
