Cosy, Comfy and Waterproof..the perfect Schoolrun boots from Emu Australia

Style Theory: On cold, rainy days you just want to pull on a comfortable, cosy pair of boots. I have found the perfect pair..Emu Paterson Lo boots....

Emu Paterson Lo Boots (waterproof) £165
An oversize roll neck, leather leggings or skinny jeans are becoming my winter uniform this year. As usual it is all about comfort, so I was absolutely delighted when Australian Brand Emu sent me a pair of their new, re-contextualized boots to celebrate its 20 year Anniversary.

Emu have transformed their boots to ensure they are more comfortable, have a lighter outsole, are more flexible and most importantly have made certain styles entirely waterproof. I will be honest, I have for the last couple of years been put off this style of boot as they always used to end up sodden and heavy in the winter. Having worn these new Emus in the pouring rain I can assure you they keep out the wet and have a good sole so no more skidding upon entering a supermarket (I have done this so many times!)  I did have a pair of Emu boots about 4 years ago and this new, improved version is so much lighter and more comfortable.

Do you still wear sheepskin boots? I have already put the Emu boots to good use on the schoolrun, they made my Monday morning after half term a little easier! Would love to hear how you style them in 2014..

As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Frances xx

  9. You look fab in yours Frances - I love the styling! I must admit I do have some Chestnut Ugg boots I've had for years and looked after. They keep me really cosy in the winter months, although I don't think they are waterproof like yours. Totally sold on the little kids Koala boots! Very cute - tempted by those for Luca x

  10. I these on QVC and they were dipping them into buckets of water to prove how waterproof they really are. It was amazing! Love how you've styled yours...I'm a huge fan of these boots no matter what people say. They are SO warm...you've got to love them! x

    1. Ha can't believe they were dipping them into water! I can vouch that after an afternoon in the pouring rain my feet were nice and dry! And you're right who can resist cosy warm boots! Xx

  11. oh no I still Love 'em! Fabulously warm, there really is nothing to beat them in the warmth stakes. You may have a harder job convincing my husband but I"d rather go for warm toes than his opinion anyway!

  12. I've still got Ugg boots and love them when it's really cold, but these look more useful! Absolutely love how you've styled them, especially with leather trousers.

  13. I envy all of you who can get away with this style of boot. I'm 6(ish) feet tall, but the moment I put on Uggs/Emus, I magically lose a foot in height. I think I'm lacking a graceful gene - they just make me look incredibly dumpy! If I looked like you in them, Frances, I'd be wearing them all Summer too, never mind waiting for the cold to kick in!!

  14. I love classic Uggs which I'd worn since the 80s, but my Emu slippers have been my favorite! A girl can always use another good classic. You are correct, they've been around forever, but gosh are they comfy!

  15. I had gone off these in recent years but these look great, impeccable styling helps of course!

  18. I really like a short sheepskin boot. Mine are literally falling off my feet. I need to replace them but fear Ugg are not as good as they used to be. These are very tempting and look less bulky than the Ugg version. Love your styling (as always) x

  20. I shall have to recommend these to a fellow soccer mom who was lamenting over non waterproof sheepskin boots which were becoming more and more sodden as we both stood there on the sidelines watching our boys play football. The waterproofing is a big bonus in my eyes.
