Christmas Party Ready....The Accessory Edit

I believe in buying accessories that you can mix and match with not only 'going out' outfits but can also make a 'dressed down' outfit that little bit special. Neutral accessories work well, a hint of gold or a touch of leopard can make any outfit more interesting without being too much of a fashion statement.  Here is my Christmas accessory edit that will take you through Autumn Winter to Spring Summer 14 and beyond....

Firstly a couple of key jackets:
Zara Blazer with Gathered Shoulders £69.99
Zara Tuxedo Style Jacket £79.99
Both these styles of jackets would look gorgeous over a sparkly party dress, or wear with a sequin skirt and grey T-shirt, or dress down with a pair of boyfriend jeans, trainers and chunky scarf in the Autumn.

Cardigans are key over Christmas party dressses this year...the look is laidback chic perfection:

Streetstyle:

A few gorgeous options from the highstreet:

Gap Eversoft Cardigan £24.95

M&S Pure Cashmere Longline Cardigan £97
House of Fraser Cardigan reduced to £49 (was £89)
Uniqlo Cashmere Cardigan £79.90
And a few casual tops to wear underneath cardigans:
Uniqlo Cashmere Sweater £49
Zara Long Sweatshirt £9.99
These will both be fab with a net skirt, sequinned skirt or patterned, cigarette trousers for a Christmas party....then at the weekend slip on with a pair of boyfriend jeans, leopard print heels and a black jacket as above..et voila your perfect weekend casual gong out outfit.

Now for the bags and shoes..
I do like a fairly neutral bags and shoes. Over the last few years animal print has almost become a neutral as it looks equally as good with black and block colours as it does clashed with florals, stripes and spots

.

Here are a few of my favourite leopard prints accessories on the high street:
Autograph Leather Leopard Slouch Bag £99
The shopper is large but I really think this works with cigarette trousers and is also fab for the weekend to put all the kids things in.
Autograph Leather Slouch Bag £89
Dune Kitten Heel Shoes £69
M&S Autograph Ponyskin and Waterproof Leopard Print Shoes £99
Basic black shoes and shoeboots:
Zara Kitten Heel Shoes £39.99
Zara Leather High Heeled Shoe £49.99
Zara Shoe Boots £79.99
M&S Shoe Boot £49.50
These boots are super flattering on due to the low front they elongate your legs and are also very comfortable.
Gap Two Tone Leather Clutch £19.95
Zara Slim Clutch £19.99
 Statement necklaces next:
Accessorize Round Stone Necklace £14.99 & Delphine Occassion Necklace £19
New Look Crystal Diamante Necklace £12.99
New Look Limited Gold Flower Necklace and Stud Earrings £24.99
Accessorize Eclectic Mini Brooch Necklace £15
Oasis Black Flower Necklace £25
And just because I think these are super cute shoes, put them in your bag for when your high heels get uncomfortable..flat but still gorgeous!
Zara Metallic Flats £25.99

  1. I've tried the Dune kitten heels and they would be my favourite as they are quite wearable, day and night. The heel height is perfect.

And lovely to see you in the parka - it's fabulous isn't it? It's one of my favourite buys actually ... and the fleece lined pockets? Ooooh - heaven!
