A Delve into Zara New Season

Style Theory: The AW15 stock is upon us and it is fab to invest now in a few key pieces now as you can wear them in the summer and layer up for the winter too. The first glimpses of Autumn/Winter is so exciting, I love seeing the colours, the fabrics and the shapes that will be emerging over the next few months. So far Zara has been looking good, they have some key on trend piece that will immediately bring your wardrobe up to date and a few gorgeous classics you can use as building blocks for your AW looks.

Here are my favourite pieces I spotted in store, how they looked when I tried them on and also my keys pieces online...
Dotted Swiss Dress £39.99
This is a dress that can be worn now with flat, strappy, sandals and in the winter will look fab with opaques and tan, knee high boots as a daytime look with a waist length leather biker jacket. It fits this seasons Gothic trend perfectly and sheer maxi dresses are becoming a part of your capsule wardrobe
Flowing Jumpsuit £39.99
Dungarees are still hot news and now us grown ups have got over the initial shock of wearing them we can actually now embrace them. These are a grown up pair, wear now with off the shoulder, stripy tops and high sandals, in the winter wear with pointed, spike heel ankle boots and pussy bow blouses for a cool, sophisticated look.
Tank Top £22.99
The knitted top above will be a hard working piece in your wardrobe, the perfect AW15 layering piece (it also comes in black) Wear it underneath a denim dress or knitted jumper to immediately turn it into a Victoriana look..I have these in both beige and black and can imagine I will wear it layered underneath tops non stop..
Jumpsuit £29.99
Jumpsuits make life so easy, just one piece needed, add a pair of flat, pointed pumps to this for summer and in the winter tan 70s style knee high boots and a tan, saddle bag for a simple and chic outfit.
Guipere Lace Top £29.99
A gorgeous lace top, as beautiful with jeans as with black trousers for work, love the folded details on the arms.
Apologies for the white bra underneath..this would need to be worn with a black vest top.
Plumetis Top £25.99
This is my Hero piece of the collection, I adore the billowing sleeves, the high neck and the drapey fabric. I have bought this and will wear with skirts, trousers, jeans and my dungarees, I can see me wearing this a lot!

I sized up on this, this is a medium as the armholes are really small so I would try on a size bigger than you normally would wear in Zara.
Denim Shirt with Bow £29.99
It is all about blouses this season and this is the perfect AW2015 blouse update. Girly with an edge, perfect with culottes or wear with black flared jeans and leopard print heel, or add a pair of dark red trousers and tan heels for a true on trend look.
Top with Printed Hem £25.99
Cute, 60s and 70s vibe top, I am loving all things velvet this for AW. The trim at the bottom adda a little luxury and this top will look great in the winter with camel wool wide leg trousers, high tan boots and a wine coloured coat.

On another note Marks and Spencer have the most fabulous burgundy faux suede platform sandals for £35, perfect to clash up with all sorts of dresses, I haven't tracked them down yet but as soon as I do I will let you know!
Fringed Skirt £39.99
Another one of my fave buys is this skirt. It is the perfect solution if you do not like wearing shorter skirts as you feel like you are wearing a long skirt with just hints of your legs. I will wear this is the winter with my high tan boots and blouses but for now with trainers is perfect!

A couple of accessories to get me started for AW,  dark red/wine/burgundy whatever it is called is definitely the colour of choice for bags and shoes this season.
Leather City Bag £69.99
This Zara bag is the perfect mix of slouch with a small amount of structure and the ideal colour.

These shoes I saw instore in my local Zara, they are £39.99 and a fab Isabel Marant 'homage!" I wasn't able to try to them on as I didn't have time and they have had mixed review on my Instagram regarding how comfortable they are some saying they were really comfy others say utterly uncomfortable so definitely ones to try on if you can.

There is my round up of a few new Zara items to invest in for AW15, I cannot wait to see what else will be coming in over the next few months. This season I will be wearing Victoriana (love the blouses) wide leg slouchy trousers (to meetings) with pointy heels, maxi dresses and dark red accessories.

Have you thought about Autumn/Winter yet, I have such an bad habit from my buying days of looking too far ahead (normally in buying we would be on next summer by now) Also having come back from my summer holidays I am now ready to move on (although today's sunshine is heavenly!) But hopefully the items I have selected above can be worn now and in the winter also.

Would love to hear what you have bought so far from AW collections? I always love hearing your thoughts and comments, until next time Frances xx

  3. Am jumping up and down with joy Frances. The cream billowing top is very similar to two that I bought from the Kardashian collection (oh the shame) a couple of years ago in black and cream. They went into the charity pile and I pulled them out last minute. Whoop whoop. Great edit, some lovely pieces x
