Style Theory: Weekend Away in the beautiful city of Paris, sightseeing, shopping, drinking and eating.... here are my top tips and a little peak into our weekend!

We visited - Musée d'Orsay, walked along the banks of the Seine, wandered through the Tuileries Gardens, shopped our way along the Champs Élysées and found shelter from the late afternoon showers in the cosy, sweet smelling, pastel interior of the Ladurée café.

We ate - the best of Italian cuisine, spicy sausage pizza and buffala mozzarella salad in La Briciola in the trendy Marais district on Friday night followed by wonderful cocktails in an experimental cocktail bar called The Little Red Door. Then on Saturday night indulged in the French classic steak and frîtes in the legendary, timeless brasserie La Coupole in the heart of Montparnasse, followed by more fabulous cocktails in the 1930's style speakeasy, basement bar and club, Le China.

We wore - an eclectic mix of clothes, practicality ruled for daytime and a little glamour for night. I stuck to a palette of navy and black with a splash of pink and my little sister was a riot of colour and so she should be it was her 30th!

DeleteI'm new to your blog but love all of your entries, including this one. Can i ask what colour and make your red lipstick is please? I'm a rose/pink lipstick girl but have similar skin & hair colour to you and am fancying a change and as you wear it so well i thought i might try it too x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for reading, I am a rose pink lipstick girl too so I bought a super cheap red lipstick to try it out! It is Rimmel Kate moss no.1 I also bought a cheap lip liner to keep it contained and stop smudging. The lipstick comes out pretty dark so you have to blot a lot! Xxx
DeleteWow - so much to take in here...loving all the photos and they've brought back great memories of trips to Paris pre-kids. You all look SO stylish and I can tell from your sister and your mum that it's in the blood for sure. Looks like an amazing weekend, Ax
