SS14 Pastels..The Accessories

Style Theory: SS14 Pastels....there are three ways to accessorise Pastel outfits this season, the first is match with pastel accessories, the second is team with darker stronger primary colours and the third with metallic accessories. All look fabulous, make a real impact and compliment the beautiful ice cream coloured clothes that are peppering the high street at the moment.

In this post I am looking at Matchy Pastel Accessories..team sherbet coloured accessories with your pastel clothes. Burberry launched this seasons look beautifully in their SS14 show.....

Burberry SS14
The streetstylers styling some gorgeous chalky coloured accessories:

Adore this little Mulberry handbag, a little pricey, thankfully the high street have come up with some fabulous cheaper alternatives.

Stunning look, the pale blue, pink and metallic work beautifully

Pastel colours teamed with a neutral peachey bag, pastel perfection!
Recreate this look with this selection fabulous high street accessories available now:

I love that the pastel accessories can be worn now with darker colours and then in the summer you can create entirely different looks with summery pastels, rolled up pale boyfriend jeans and cute pointy metallic pumps. The possibilities are endless....! Roll on summer!

Here are my looks from the last couple of days:

I found my old Adidas shell toe trainers from the 90s and I am loving them again..I am slightly worried as I am sure there is a saying if you wore a trend the first time round you shouldn't wear it again..(not the actual saying obvs!) but anyway, I am going for it and wearing them again with my new Zoe Karssan sale sweater (a birthday present for the littlest sis!)

Coat: M&S (sorry it is appearing again!)
Jumper: Zoe Karssan
Jeans: Gap Boyfriend
Trainers: Adidas originals
A trip to London with my littlest sister shopping, then a couple of drinks in my favourite bar..heaven
Coat: M&S (don't worry I am going to buy the Zara blue one too!)
Denim Jacket: Warehouse
Navy Jumper: Whistles
Jeans: H&M
Trainers: New Balace
Bag (just seen): M&S
Are you going to indulge in any pastel accessories yet or are you sticking to wintery colours at the moment (I wouldn't be surprised as I know we are only in Jan..I am just desperado for summer!) Would you wear a trend the second time around or am I slightly going for the 'mutton dressed as' look?!

Thanks so much for reading, I would love to hear your comments as always xxx

    1. I know I can't believe I found them! Adidas are launching the new (well, old!) Stan Smith trainers tomorrow so it will be interesting to see how they compare. I think they will come into their own in the summer..for now ice and trainers do not mix as I found out this morning on the schoolrun, completely skidded over!! x

    1. Hi Emma, Thanks so much for reading. My NBs are a few years old now so are no longer available, they did come with pink laces, I think this is the new version, I quite like them as they are a bit chunkier than mine x http://www.newbalance.co.uk/New-Balance-574/WL574-C,en_GB,pd.html?dwvar_WL574-C_color=Light%20Grey_with_Hot%20Pink_and_White&start=38&cgid=20000
