The Blogger Meet Up

The Style Mum Blogger Meet: On a beautiful afternoon in London last Friday, I met up with a group of style bloggers for an afternoon full of chat, laughs and vats of Prosecco.

Being a newbie on the 'blogging street' I was a little apprehensive meeting up with these  established bloggers but they really could not have been more welcoming, friendly and fun. It was fab to catch up with all these mum, style bloggers who are all real women, have kids, jobs and are trying to juggle life and of course writing these wonderful style blogs.

So here are the details:

Who: A group of Mum Style Bloggers from the UK, Ireland and America. The guest list was as follows:
Left: Avril - Schoolgatestyle
Right: Fiona - Avenue 57
Left: Helen - The Flaky Fashionista
Right: Donna - I Won't Wear Sludge Brown
Left: Sue - Susie So So
Right: Natalie - GlamRosie
Left: Kat - Does my Bum look 40 in this
Right: Joanna - Poppy's Style
Left: Marlene - Chocolate Cookies and Candies
Right: Michelle - My Fashionable 40s

We ate: Pizzas, Garlic Breads and a huge amounts of nibbles

We drank: 8 Magnums of Prosecco (yes, 8!!)

We talked: about blogging, life, kids and laughed alot

We had a photoshoot: By Marlene from Chocolate Cookies and Candies, who is not only a fantastic writer but also a truly talented photographer! All the photographs of the bloggers above and my photograph below were expertly taken by Marlene.

We wore: Susie So So delicate and beautiful handmade bracelets, see Sue's online shop here, prices from £4. The handmade bracelets and necklaces make beautiful, original gifts..a great idea for Mothers Day....

I wore: I felt under slight pressure as I was meeting style bloggers who are all super chic but as usual I left it to the last minute and ended up shoving on comfortable clothes with my 'go to' saviour The Pink Coat! I had originally worn nude heels but am terrible at walking in them and went flying across the restaurant floor (soooo not cool!)...much to the amusement of our fellow diners...so they were quickly abandoned in favour for my New Balance (always carry a comfortable option in my huge bag!) And here are Marlene's photos of the look:
Coat: M&S
Jumper: Topshop Unique
Blouse: H&M
Jeans: Topshop Baxter
Trainers: New Balance
Necklace: Ginette NY
It truly was lovely to meet up with these lovely ladies who are not only amazingly stylish but also incredibly supportive, welcoming and warm. It was a fantastic day and one we hope to repeat soon, maybe next time in Dublin..!

Thanks ladies for a fantastic day xx

  12. Well that sounds fun! I don't have a lot in common with other papercrafting bloggers. Most of them are stay at home moms, and a lot are very religious. Not my cup of tea.
